Congratulations to Chengelo IGCSE Class of 2018!

Chengelo School is proud to announce another outstanding set of Examination Results from the IGCSE Class of 2018. This year Chengelo reached its highest number ever of students achieving the important milestone of 5 A*-C grade passes that include English and Maths. A total of 93% of pupils secured at least 5 grades A*-C that include English and Maths.

In addition:
– 39% of grades were A*-A
– 63% of Grades were A*-B
– 91% of Grades were A*-C
– 100% of pupils gained at least one IGCSE at A*-C grades

Our top students, all of which achieved an average Grade A across all their results are as follows:

– Luyando Lisimba 7xA*, 1xA, 1xB
– Changa Malama 6xA*, 3xA
– Longtian Bao 5xA*, 4xA,
– Phumulo Mwanza 2xA*, 6xA, 1xB
– Tabo Inambao 2xA*, 6xA, 2xB
– Mohamed Aziz 3xA*, 4xA, 1xB, 1xC

Our particular congratulations go to or most improved students, all of whom on average achieved grades higher than their target grades:

– Taonga Mtonga
– Nathanael Falcone
– Mwaka Mukata
– Zenelia Mwanza

From a departmental perspective, there were some amazing results this year with all students that took the Agriculture Exam gaining A* grades and all students that sat the Music exam securing either A* or A grades! Departments with an average grade of A*-B include: Agriculture, Chemistry, Computer Science, Design Technology, English, Geography, History, English Literature, Music, and Religious Studies.

Our warmest congratulations go out to all Chengelo 2018 IGCSE students and teachers for the effort and hard work that was necessary to gain these fantastic results.
