Elephant Class Ropes Course

The Grade 4 and 5 children enjoyed a sunny afternoon at the Ropes Course exploring the theme of trust. The key Bible verse was from Psalm 56 vs 3 encouraging them to trust in God when they are afraid.

There were some lovely demonstrations and activities which helped introduce the topic and gave the children opportunities to discuss and share their own trust experiences. There were also some more challenging activities, such as climbing enormous ladders and swinging from the treetops, where children had to exercise trust in order to complete the activity.

By the end of the course, the children understood that it’s okay to be afraid; but that trusting God, trusting themselves and trusting in others can help them overcome their fears!
