Grade 4 & 5 Ndubaluba Camp

We ‘stepped out’ of the bus and into an incredible week of adventure, growth, teamwork and friendship. As we explored the theme of ‘Stepping Out’ and studied the story of Prince Kaboo (Samuel Morris), we learned more about ourselves, our classmates and what it means to have a spirit not of fear, but of power, love and self control. (2 Timothy 1:7)

Full of energy and enthusiasm, our Grade 4 and 5 warriors prepared for ‘The Ancient Olympics’. They tested their hand at catapulting, spear throwing and bow and arrow shooting, before entering into a competitive round of team challenges. Over the next two days, these warriors bravely climbed the faith mast, endured some serious sea training and created their own ancient art using natural materials. War cries grew louder, friendships grew stronger, and somehow the energy and enthusiasm kept going!

We took ‘To the High Seas’ for an afternoon of raft building and ‘treasure’ seeking. What ‘treasure’ would they find?

After an action packed programme, it was time for ‘Land Ahoy!’ The amazing assault course! Each team had to work together and encourage each other to squeeze through the drums, climb up the tree, balance across the log, move through the spider’s web and crawl under the cargo net! By the end of the trip, our warriors were exhausted! They had participated wholeheartedly to the very end, and were ready to return home!
