A Historical Quest

Our Grade 2/3 class have been on a history quest, learning about African heroes and heroines this term.They showed off their learning in an assembly. They recognized Solomon Chidunuka who received the Tusk Wildlife ranger award for his 31 years of wildlife protection in Zambia at North Luangwa National Park and Wangari Marathi who began the Green Belt Movement and planted more than 30 million trees and helped 900,00 women in Africa.
They shared poems and songs about these wonderful heroes and heroines.
