Incredible IGCSE results for Chengelo Form 5 students!
After facing the most disruption to their studies of any of our cohorts, our Form 5 of 2021 finally received their eagerly anticipated IGCSE results today – and what a performance! Congratulations to our class of 2021!
Huge congratulations go to our top performing IGCSE student, Natasha Bwalya, who scored an incredible 9A* grades! Natasha joined Chengelo in the Primary School, and has been the highest achiever throughout her time in the Secondary School. We are delighted by her success, and wish her all the best as she embarks on Sixth Form studies in the UK.

This year, for the first year, we also entered some of our students for the ICE (International Certificate in Education) with great success. The Cambridge ICE is a group award for Cambridge IGCSE, and is very popular in the USA. It recognises the achievements of students who pass examinations in at least seven Cambridge IGCSE subjects from five different subject groups, including two different languages.

As our numbers of students taking a second language increase, we hope to see more students following in these pioneering footsteps over the next few years.
Reflecting on the past two years, it has been the most exceptionally challenging and difficult time for these Form 5 students. We are so proud of ALL our students’ performance: a testament to their grit and resilience in the face of such precedented adversity. And of course, we give thanks and praise to God, who has carried us all through when we thought we might not make it!
