The Duke of Edinburgh International Award is an exciting self-development programme available to all young people worldwide, between the ages of 14 -24. It has three different levels - Bronze, Silver and Gold, and comprises four sections – Skill, Adventurous Journey, Sport and Community Service which must all be completed at each level for one to achieve their Award. At Gold level, participants are also required to complete a Residential Project.
Chengelo School has a long history of running the Award and was the first School to start the Award in Zambia. It presently has the most students on the Award from all other schools in Zambia with over 70 Chengelo students actively participating in the Award each year
